Tsubaki

娘が毎日「大きくなあれ」と声をかけていた椿の苗木。

Every day, my daughter was encouraging this young camellia tree to grow bigger.

2輪の花が肩を並べて咲いていて、まるで双子。

She was excited to find two flowers are blooming next to each other like twins.

そのうちの一輪が昨日の大雨で落ちてしまっていた。

Yesterday, it rained heavily on Ohshima, and she found one of the flowers fallen off.

「あー！」とショックを受けていた娘。

She looked shocked.

でも椿の花は枝から落ちてもキレイだね。

But sweetheart, camellia flowers are beautiful even they fall off from trees.

そしてまた、蕾が見えている。

And you can see a few buds.

次の花を咲かせてくれるよ。

They are going to bloom soon.

命は続いているね。
